About the project
Project overview
The Quality Fund project at Hvidovre Hospital consists of three parts: remodeling of ambulatories, remodeling of bed sections and expansion of the hospital with 32,000 square meters of new construction.
Hvidovre Hospital currently has 446 beds spread over 1-bed, 2-bed and 4-bed. After the conversion, all living rooms will be converted into either 1-bed, 2-bed or 1-2-bed patient rooms. The maximum bed capacity will remain unchanged. The patient rooms are first and foremost the patient’s room, where one must feel safe, and therefore stay with their own bath and toilet. Having patient rooms with 1 bed rather than bed rooms with many beds gives better possibility that examinations can be performed and that relatives can stay with the inpatient.
At Nordic foam Group we have worked in close collaboration with the architect, Cinal, to insure that everything from materials for the “Maternity” delivery bed meets the vision of Hvidovre Hospital. This includes both the design, durability and comfort along with the high standards for hygiene and cleaning.
